Former Israeli Prime Minister Mr Benjamin Netanyahu last night dismissed allegations of corruption against him as baseless and accused police of acting in bad faith.
Mr Netanyahu - known by all as Bibi - said in a statement: "This was a tendentious investigation whose outcome was known ahead of time.'
He said he would respond in greater detail later. The former prime minister joins a parade of top Israeli officials embroiled by scandals.
