Righthander Adam Johnson, the Twins first-round pick in Monday's draft, likes to restore cars. He owns two Camaros, a 1979 model and a 1988 edition - and is skilled at working on engines and installing car stereos.
It was suggested to Johnson that, since he's about to get a $2.5 million signing bonus, he could start a Ferrari collection.
"Nope," he said from his home in San Diego, Calif. "I'm a true American. I like Chevys. If I step up, it's going to be a Corvette. That's the only thing I'll buy."
