Grand Rapids 6-7 senior Dusty Rychart, a first-team All-State forward, is starting to receive interest from Division I men's basketball programs. Among the schools that have contacted him are Indiana, Drake, Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan.
Rychart, who holds all the Thunderhawks' individual scoring records, also has been contacted by a number of smaller schools, including St. Cloud State, Bemidji State, Mayville (N.D.) State and Minnesota-Crookston. The Bemidji Pioneer and the Duluth News-Tribune both recently named Rychart their region Player of the Year.
