Another spring, another Masters. Another return to Augusta National Golf Club, the outdoor stage that always provides memorable golf drama.
The 1997 Masters will unfold this week, and the possibilities for another suspenseful production are seemingly endless.
"There are a lot of interesting subplots this year," said Tom Lehman of Alexandria, Minn., the 1996 PGA Tour Player of the Year.
There's the return of Greg Norman, who last year at Augusta endured one of the most painful defeats in the history of golf's major championships. A six-shot lead starting the final round became another Norman loss in the event he most dearly wants to win.
