Twins outfielder Marty Cordova knew that his left foot hurt.
When he ran. When he walked. Even when he slept.
But until doctors enlightened him during spring training, Cordova, 27, didn't know exactly what part of his foot was causing the pain.
Even now, Cordova stumbles slightly when pronouncing "plantar fascia," which is the tough, tendon-like tissue that attaches to the heel and radiates forward, creating the arch on the bottom of the foot.
