Beneath the round spectacles, knee-high black boots and Rough Rider hat beats the heart of a game-show host.
John Davidson was so eager to resemble Theodore Roosevelt, the subject of the one-man show called "Bully" that opens tonight at the Ordway's McKnight Theatre, that he shaved an inch and a half off his trademark hair, which once gave Farrah Fawcett a run for her curlers, and let it go white. Onstage, he speaks in a high-pitched, forceful accent that sometimes sounds like Eleanor Roosevelt. There's a thick, groomed mustache - his first - and he still scratches it from time to time.
