The Minnesota Supreme Court is being asked to review a judge's ruling that the Mall of America is not private property and that the mall must accommodate those wanting to hold protests there.
Both the Mall of America and the League of Minnesota Cities have joined state prosecutors in asking the state Supreme Court to review the impact of Hennepin County District Judge Jack Nordby's ruling.
"Indeed, given the sweeping language in the trial court's decision, the impact on the Mall of America already has been significant," a lawyer for the mall said in a legal brief to the Supreme Court.
