1/3 Andy Berlin, the colorful leader of Fallon McElligott Berlin in New York City, has resigned after the collapse of his negotiations to buy the East Coast agency.
Minneapolis-based Fallon McElligott, which paired with Berlin two years ago to start the New York agency, intends to maintain a presence in New York, said Bill Westbrook, president and creative director at Fallon. Renamed Fallon McElligott New York, the East Coast office will have about 35 employees and for the time being will be headed by Fallon veteran Steven Sjoblad.It's unclear at this point which clients will remain, Westbrook said.
