Parcells, the first-year coach of the New York Jets, lost his spotlight this week to Giants coach Jim Fassel, the second-most celebrated NFL head coach hired during the offseason to coach in New York.
On Thursday, according to reports in several New York newspapers, Fassel will be named NFL Coach of the Year by the Associated Press.
