Water Main Break Closes Some Madison Avenue Shops
Several retailers on Madison Avenue, including the Polo/Ralph Lauren shop and Bennetton Uomo, were forced to close after a water main broke at approximately 3 a.m. Monday morning.
The street flood that ensued forced the closing of Madison Avenue from 70th to 73d Street and 72d Street between Park and Fifth Avenues.
