The defense rested in the assault trial of Vikings quarterback Warren Moon on Wednesday and the case is expected to go to the jury today.
During his second day of testimony, Moon said he was probably responsible for scratches and bruises inflicted on his wife Felicia during an altercation in their Houston-area home last July. Moon, however, insisted that he never intended to hurt his wife, but only tried to calm her when an argument got out of control.
"She kind of went ballistic, started swinging, saying I was crazy . . . she didn't like living like this. I was the devil. I was basically saying the same thing," he said.
