Man charged in 8 slayings wanted in sex crime.(NEWS)

A Chicago man who was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday in the slayings of eight women had been wanted by St. Paul police in connection with a sex crime, authorities said.

Gregory Clepper, 28, was arrested Sunday after an acquaintance told police he had boasted about one of the slayings, Chicago Police Department spokesman Paul Jenkins said Wednesday.

Clepper was charged with eight counts of first-degree murder. His mother was charged with helping him dispose of one of the bodies. The killings began in 1991.
