1/3 A 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the March rape of a woman in a downtown Minneapolis parking ramp.
Downtown officials were rattled by the attacker's disregard - a police supervisor called it "brazen" - for the state-of-the-art security system at the LaSalle Court Ramp. They have called for a review of safety procedures in all downtown ramps.
The ramp, at 801 LaSalle Av., had guards, cameras, screech alarms and other security measures, but the attacker followed the woman from an elevator to her car, where he raped and robbed her.
