If you're like most people, you'll buy and sell a home six or seven times in your lifetime, said George Karvel, director of the Minnesota Real Estate Research Center at St. Cloud State University. He posed a question:
"If each home you buy and sell is [worth] $100,000, that's $1.4 million of real estate. If you're dealing with $1.4 million of real estate, wouldn't you want to know something about it?"
