Republican Bob Dole is scheduled to make a campaign appearance in the Twin Cities on Wednesday, his first visit to the state since last fall and the first since resigning his Senate seat to devote himself full time to campaigning for the White House.

The former majority leader from Kansas will speak about education at 12:35 p.m. in the Florance Center of De La Salle High School on Nicollet Island near downtown Minneapolis. The speech is not open to the public.

The presumed Republican nominee is scheduled to arrive around noon and leave the state sometime later in the day.
