Since 1956, Mounds View High School in Arden Hills has educated more than 18,000 children of the northern suburbs, drawing students from a wide geographic and demographic swath from New Brighton to North Oaks.
More than 2,000 of those graduates returned to the school on Saturday to mark the 40th anniversary of its first graduating class.
Some returned for the first time since graduation, and most agreed that the place hadn't changed much. There were the same tan metal lockers, the same maroon and brown tile on the lower half of the walls, the same seamless, shiny floors made of that mysterious material that was seemingly used in every public building ...
