Wheelies in Belle Plaine today?; Governor expected to announce that city is getting motorcycle plant.(BUSINESS)

Thanks in part to the welcoming efforts of dozens of first graders, nursing home residents, a marching band and $6 million in loan guarantees from the state, Gov. Arne Carlson is expected to announce today that Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycles will stay in Minnesota.

And the betting is that the Burnsville-based company's factory will be located in Belle Plaine, the hometown of the company owners and where their parents still live.

Shakopee was the other finalist for the company's $20 million 150,000 square-foot plant.
