We've long had the Taste of Minnesota festival over July 4th weekend. This year we'll have the first Taste of the Twin Cities - musically speaking - over Labor Day weekend.
The 125-band, three-day event is officially called Mill City Music Festival. Whether by design or default, Mill City reflects the deep-seated tastes of Twin Cities music consumers for out-of-town acts. Not the preferences of the hit-oriented, arena-going masses, but the predilections of adults who go to nightclubs and concert halls.
