This is a love story, but relax: It's not your conventionally sentimental soaper. Rather, it's an unlikely, late-blooming affair that has stabilized the lives and work of two disparate, strong-willed artists whose lives, until now, have resisted equilibrium.

It's unlikely because those two people seem mismatched at first blush:

1/3 Shawn McConneloug, 40, an extroverted, Roman Catholic dancer and choreographer.

1/3 Robert Rosen, 47, an introverted Jewish actor-director and co-artistic director of Theatre de la Jeune Lune.

McConneloug vividly remembers her first meeting with Rosen. He doesn't. So much for love at first sight.
