PROCLAIM ELECTRIC SAFETY AWARENESS WEEK
CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- March 6-12 has been declared Electric Safety Awareness Week in North Carolina and South Carolina by special proclamations from the governors of the two states.
The idea of a week to focus on electric safety was started by Duke Power Co. five years ago.
"We wanted to emphasize the importance of safety around electricity, particularly for children," Tim Bowen, energy education representative for Duke Power, said.
