JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 13 /PRNewswire/ --
First Coast Service Options, Inc. (FCSO), a subsidiary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, was recently selected by the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) to administer the Medicare Part B program in Connecticut.
Medicare Part B helps pay for physician services, outpatient surgery, diagnostic tests, medical equipment and supplies and other services for Medicare beneficiaries. FCSO was selected after United Health Group announced that it would not renew its Medicare contracts. FCSO will begin business operations in Connecticut in September 2000.
