RICHMOND, Va., June 13 /PRNewswire/ --
Circuit City Stores, Inc. (NYSE: CC) (NYSE: KMX) today reported that, in accordance with plans announced in December 1999, W. Alan McCollough has officially added the title of chief executive officer, succeeding Richard L. Sharp, who remains chairman of the company.
McCollough, a 13-year Circuit City veteran, was named president and chief operating officer in March 1997. His Circuit City career includes extensive experience in the retailer's two principal operating areas, store operations and merchandising.
