Ever since the railroad crossing tragedy in Fox River Grove, we have been barraged with media regarding crossing safety. It is inconceivable that any person alive or dead is not aware of the dangers. However, several recent examples illustrate that the motoring public is oblivious to the hazard.
On a recent evening, during commuting rush hour, I was northbound on Evergreen Avenue in Arlington Heights, cleared the track and was stopped in traffic at the red light.
