Burlington Inks Agreement For Sale of Ramseur Plant
Burlington Industries Tuesday signed a definitive agreement to sell its Ramseur, N.C., weaving plant. Although Burlington declined to reveal the purchaser, industry sources identify it as Tal Apparel Ltd., a Hong Kong-based company.
Burlington said the transaction is expected to be completed by early February. The plant manufactures polyester and cotton blended fabrics and was originally part of the company's Blended Fabrics division, which was recently sold, along with its Prints division, to a management group headed by Arthur Wiener.
