It's a small matter but its absence has divided two Midland politicians, one of whom believes it's at risk and the other who wants its abolition.
We are, or we're, talking about the apostrophe which has become so neglected in some circles that one Labour MP, Dr Tony Wright of Cannock Chase, has tabled a Commons motion demanding it's saved from its decline.
