THE SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY YEAR of the Battle of Britain marks a big change for the RAF Museum in Hendon, with the launch of their latest interpretation `Our Finest Hour'. This is one of the responses that the Museum is making to the challenge of the future where competition is fierce and visitors' expectations are high. The multi-media interpretation will neither trivialise the events of 1940, nor endow them with false glamour. Instead it aims to attract and educate an audience for whom the Second World War is not recent history, and the same time to rekindle the memories of those who lived through the 1940s.
