It's not every day that Romeo pays a visit to an OB/GYN. But that's what Sergei Filin did before the second night performance of the Bolshoi Ballet's acclaimed "Romeo and Juliet."

No, Juliet isn't expecting a little Capulet or Montague. Romeo picked up a splinter in his hand on the practice barre during rehearsal. Those in charge were concerned that if he was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, he might not make it back to the Auditorium Theatre in time for the opening curtain.
