Jun. 15--FORT WORTH, Texas--Nokia, a Finnish mobile phone manufacturer, is purchasing 61 acres next to its Alliance factory for possible expansion.
The company said yesterday it is in negotiations with Hillwood Properties, the real estate developer for Alliance Airport, to buy its 424,000-square-foot factory building and the 30 acres it is on, as well as two other parcels totaling 31 acres to the west and south of the factory. Currently, Nokia leases its factory and the land under it from Hillwood.
No financial details were released, as the deal has not been completed. Hillwood and Nokia hope to have the transaction closed in the next few weeks, said ...
