PARIS -- When Emmanuel de Brantes laughs -- probably at one of his own bons mots -- you can hardly believe your eyes. He throws back his head and squints his eyes tight. His mouth flies open and his little stick mustache snaps to attention. De Brantes looks -- and sounds -- as if he's playing to the back row at the Comedie Francaise.
"I've been in the best spot in Paris," he says, presiding over the cafe scene at Le Select, "the limelight."
For the moment, at least, it's undeniably true. The French press is lapping up "Jet Set," a flick co-written by de Brantes and starring the popular Lambert Wilson as Arthus de Poulignac. Arthus -- the jet ...
