DONOR EGG BABY BORN AT UMDNJ HOSPITALER:
NEWARK, N.J., March 15 (PR/TV Newswire) -- The first known birth in the Northeast United States of a baby conceived with a donated egg was announced today by physicians in Newark at University Hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
The New Jersey mother, who is in her late 30s and wishes to remain anonymous, and her baby girl have left the hospital for home, where both are doing well. The baby, born earlier this month, is healthy and of normal size; her birth date and weight at birth were not disclosed.
