WAMU-FM's weekly "D.C. Politics Hour" starring irrepressible local political commentator Mark Plotkin blossomed by plan into four of Washington's most unusual comic hours Thursday night at the Mayflower Hotel with Mayor Anthony A. Williams stealing the show.
Billed as a roast of Mr. Plotkin, the benefit drew all four District mayors past and present in a comradely manner for only the second time. (The first occasion was former Councilman Harry L. Thomas Sr.'s funeral.)
Some 600 Plotkin fans and station supporters paid $125 each to attend the event, which was scheduled at the same time as a $10,000-per-person campaign fund-raiser for Mr. Williams ...
