Enterasys Networks, a provider of enterprise networking solutions, has become a charter principal member of the 10 Gigabit Ethernet Alliance (10 GEA), an association formed to both promote 10 Gigabit Ethernet for local area network (LAN), metropolitan area network (MAN) and wide area network (WAN) markets as well as to support the IEEE 802.3 10 Gigabit Ethernet standards process.
