Jun. 21--CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Chapel Hill Brokers, a local electricity broker, has been sold to APB Energy of Louisville, Ky., for an undisclosed sum.
All 18 employees of Chapel Hill Brokers will remain, and its staff could double by the end of the year, said Chapel Hill Brokers President Tom Hahn, who added that his company will account for 20 percent of revenue for the combined entity. APB, with 105 employees, is one of the top power brokers in the country. Both companies are privately held and do not disclose revenue.
