Chunchon, the lake city two hours train ride from Seoul, turns into a pantomime city every May.
The same look is on at the city again now as the the fifth annual Chunchon International Mime Festival (The 2000 CIMF) kicked off yesterday for a five-day run.
Started as the Korea Mime Festival in 1989, the festival has grown as the biggest international mime fair in Asia.
Under the catch phrase, ``Our Gestures Toward The World,'' 11 troupes from Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, Poland, Israel and Mongolia as well as 10 local troupes and a dozen individual artists is participating.
