Motor Trend, the 53-year-old automotive title now owned by Emap USA, this summer will have a new look, a beefed-up Web presence and new cross-platform opportunities for advertisers. With its September issue, Motor Trend unveils an updated logo and look printed on heavier paper. Its edit package will increase from 72 to 88 pages, and will expand again to 96 pages as of its October issue. The September issue goes on sale Aug. 1. Also in September, the title will merge its two related Web sites -- Motor Trend Online (motortrend.com) and Motor Trend Auto Program (motortrendauto.com), the latter a members-only site -- into one, and expand staff and content offerings.
