DESPITE his movie legend status, Sean Connery's most enduring legacy may well be the vital part he played in ending Scotland's 300 years in the political wilderness.
SNP leader Alex Salmond believes the superstar played a significant role in securing the "Yes, Yes" vote which approved the new Scottish Parliament's powers.
