I was adopted by my dad, Colin, and mum, Jill, when I was just six weeks old. Dad always told me I was the "chosen one", and that's what I told anyone who asked why I looked different from his other kids. My parents already had two children of their own - Chris, my brother, who was 10, and Sarah, 12. My mum couldn't have any more children but both my parents felt they wanted to continue raising children and still had lots of room in their huge home in Virginia Water, Surrey, to give us all a happy childhood.
