OTTAWA--Francois-Charles Sirois is a man with a mission that may not be impossible but definitely is ambitious.
Microcell Telecommunications has tapped the 25-year-old son of Charles Sirois--Microcell's chairman--as president and COO of Microcell i5 Inc., the company's new wireless Internet subsidiary.
With i5--the latest in a series of Microcell's Internet-related ventures--the younger Sirois' job is to create a wireless portal for users of the company's "Fido" GSM service, providing a Web site where subscribers can customize settings for e-mail, news and weather that can then be received on their Fido handsets.
