In recent years, the region has been one of the biggest export markets for aerospace manufacturers, particularly in respect of military aviation. As Gulfstream moved into the super luxury long-range market with its G5, Bombardier responded by developing its ultra-long-range Global Express, beginning deliveries next year with a current backlog of 80 orders. Both the G5 and the Global offer almost double the range of the Galaxy.
