Plans by investment services company Citicorp Venture Capital Ltd (CVC) to acquire A. Friedr. Flender Aktiengesellschaft, a German company which supplies power transmission equipment, received regulatory clearance from the European Commission on 21 June. The sale did not give rise to any competition concerns as the firms' activities did not overlap, the Commission concluded. Flender belongs to the Babcock Borsig AG group. ...
