Philadelphia Police Commissioner John Timoney and District Attorney Lynne Abraham today called for increased investment in quality child care in light of new research proving such care greatly reduces youth crime and violence.
At a nationally accredited child care center in North Philadelphia, Timoney joined leaders of a national anti-crime organization and a local child advocacy coalition to call for expanding access to educational child care for at-risk children in Pennsylvania.
