She signs her letters ``The Witch of Hansville,'' and not many folks in town know her real name, because for almost 96 years everyone's called her ``Weensie.''
And Mary Fite is sort of eensie-weensie 5-something-footsie, but she holds a big spot, indeed, in the heart of this former Scandinavian farming community at the northern tip of the Kitsap Peninsula. Several weeks ago, they surprised her with their first-ever Community Service award, presented at the Buck Lake Community Center that she helped build.
Weensie might not have gone to the monthly Community Club luncheon meeting if she had known they were going to make such a fuss over her. Or that ...
