Union Township is working to keep the buses rolling between downtown Cincinnati and North Park in Summerside.
Lack of money might put the brakes on Queen City Metro Express Route 82, serving the Clermont County community, even though its ridership is high.
The ridership for the recently opened bus route is ''better than any one imagined,'' said Union Township Administrator Ken Geis. He said ridership is ''better than Queen City Metro expected.''
Geis says the bus serves between 235 and 250 riders a day, and that when the route opened, Queen City Metro officials expected only between 150 and 175 daily riders.
