Peter Holwell starts work at just after 6am each day. First he sorts through the mail and then he delivers it. Once that's done, he spends the rest of the day behind his post office counter in the north Warwickshire village of Fillongley.
People pop in to collect their pensions, residents browse the shelves for greetings cards and some villagers simply drop in for a chat.
Although he makes a fairly comfortable living, Mr Holwell - who has run the sub-post office for 18 years - says trade is not as good as it used to be.
