REVENUES AT CEMENTHAI CHEMICALS (BANGKOK), THE CHEMICALS arm of Siam Cement, have blossomed from baht7.1 billion ($181 million) in 1995 to almost baht29 billion last year, the result of an ambitious expansion program aimed at establishing Cementhai as the dominant player in the Thai petrochemical sector. The company is focusing on consolidating its business now that the program is complete, says Apiporn Pasawat, president of subsidiary Cementhai Chemicals.
