If Lorenzo Sanchez is indicted this week on a charge of murdering Cally Jo Larson last year, his attorney said Tuesday that she will ask that the trial be moved out of Waseca County.
"Given the truly horrendous nature of this crime, it would be impossible to find a jury of people here who would be able to judge the evidence fairly," said Linda Zarrett, Sanchez's public defender, who works in Waseca and Owatonna.
Authorities have not identified any suspects in the killing, but Sanchez and Zarrett have said he appears to be the only suspect and the subject of grand jury deliberations that began Tuesday in the Waseca County Courthouse.
