Fifty years ago, North Korea launched an invasion of its southern neighbor and started a war that remains unresolved to this day. The author was a witness to the war from the beginning--and it changed his life forever.
The war came suddenly. It was a sunny Sunday morning on June 25, 1950, when the peace was shattered by an agitated radio announcer screaming that there was an all out attack by the North Korean army all along the 38th parallel.
