NEW YORK-Spurred on by the promise of higher margins and increasing sales, major bedding producers are stepping up their efforts in the fringier decorative pillow arena, striving to differentiate their products.
Across the board, c ompanies are adding trim, gussets, buttons, embellishments -- and inches -- to their decorative pillows.
Caroline Diamond, product manager for department and specialty stores at WestPoint Stevens, said the company concentrates on coordinating pillows with better goods.
