With Wisconsin's delegation declaring him to be ``this century's `Fighting Bob' La Follette,'' the Green Party nominated consumer advocate Ralph Nader for president Sunday.
Nader responded by pledging to build ``a new progressive movement'' in America, and by suggesting that his campaign might well rewrite the political play book and defeat Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W. Bush on Nov. 7.
That's a tall order for Nader, who polled less than 1 percent of the vote running on the Green line in 1996, and who now garners only around 4 percent in national polls. Even Nader's most ardent backers say they would be delighted if the Green Party nominee ran ...
