WASHINGTON _ The map of the human genome doesn't just tell us who we are, it also reveals where we came from. It's not just about medicine; it's also about how life unfolds.
As biologists open the human genetic instruction book and compare it with those of chimpanzees, mice and even lowly earthworms, they expect to develop the best pictures ever of how life evolved.
